Sugary Photographs with Tricks, Poses and Effects

Sugary Photographs with Tricks, Poses and Effects was a photography festival held in Antwerp, Belgium, from March 19 to April 4, 2010. The festival took its title from a quote by photographer August Sander: “I hate nothing more than sugary photographs with tricks, poses and effects. So allow me to be honest and tell the truth about our age and its people.” The festival was organized by Time to Meet, an international network of artists active from 2006 until 2015, exploring photographic practice through various artistic, critical, and curatorial projects
