WIR NENNEN ES HAMBURG

WIR NENNEN ES HAMBURG

Wir nennen es Hamburg was an interdisciplinary art festival held from October 11, 2008, to January 4, 2009, at the Kunstverein in Hamburg and the international cultural factory Kampnagel. The festival sought to bridge the interests of city marketing, which aimed to generate more attention for Hamburg, and artists who were cautious about being used merely as event producers. The exhibition emphasized the collective effort of the Hamburg art scene, highlighting the diversity and vibrancy of the city’s contemporary culture.
