2–3 Straßen was an art project initiated by artist Jochen Gerz as part of the European Capital of Culture RUHR.2010. The project invited international participants to live rent-free in selected streets of three cities in the Ruhr region—Duisburg, Dortmund, and Mülheim an der Ruhr—for one year. During this period, participants collaboratively authored a text, engaging with the local community and contributing to the cultural landscape. The project aimed to transform these urban spaces through collective artistic expression and social interaction.
