Gallery Baton is pleased to announce Estuary: Between Tides, taking place from April 10 to May 10, 2025 in the Hannam-dong space, Seoul. The exhibition features a works by seven Korean and international artists including Andi Fischer (b. 1987), Max Frisinger (b. 1980), Jonathan Monk (b. 1969), Ludovic Nkoth (b. 1994), Noémie Goudal (b. 1984), Roh Choong Hyun (b. 1970), and Rinus Van de Velde (b. 1983).

An artist’s life, when wholly dedicated to their craft, can resemble the solitary journey of a salmon. Alone, they navigate an expansive and unpredictable sea of creation, honing a formative will that gradually manifests within. This journey demands perseverance and introspection, as the artist seeks to establish their own visual language, often in voluntary isolation within the confines of a studio. It is within this solitude that moments of profound insight and discovery occur, culminating in a rich tapestry of unique ideas and expressions.

The beauty of a group exhibition lies in its ability to create an immediate, though temporary, fusion of diverse interpretations. Varied currents of genres, styles, and perspectives converge, interact, and form a new dynamic within the exhibition space. Comparable to a serene lodge momentarily bustling with hikers from diverse paths, the exhibition Estuary: Between Tides highlights the wealth of intersections it generates.
